SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky - Leads are few in the case of a West Virginia man who has been missing from at local hotel since Saturday.
Stevie Daniels of Crab Orchard worked his shift at a local construction company Saturday, then returned to the Sweet Dreams Suites hotel in Goody, where he spoke to his wife Christine on the phone shortly after 9 p.m.
“He said he was walking down by the river,” Daniels told the Daily News. “He doesn’t smoke in the room, so he sometimes walked down there to smoke. He said he was going to go to the room and shower, and wait for me to call him back.”
However, when she called her husband, he did not answer the phone, and no one has heard from him since.
Christina said she was able to obtain phone records that show Stevie’s cell phone has not been used since he spoke with her Saturday. Bank records show he has not used any funds from the bank.
“Its like he disappeared into thin air,” Christine said. “We have no answers.”
Kentucky State Police are conducting a missing persons investigation.
Daniels’ father-in-law took a boat from Williamson to Warfield, Ky., Tuesday, a trip of over 20 miles on Tug River, but found no sign of Stevie.
Stevie Daniels is 6 feet tall, with brown hair and blue eyes, and weighs approximately 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie, jeans and sandals. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please call the Kentucky State Police at 606 433-7711.
