Chapmanville police officers received a tip of a possible meth lab operation on Crawley Creek Road on May 29, 2013.

Following up on the tip, officers went to the scene and got consent to search an old barn behind the residence, where they found cooking supplies for meth and several bottles full of the substance.

David Belcher Jr. and David Madden. Jr. were arrested and charged with operating a clandestine drug lab.

The Chapmanville Police Department was assisted by the Logan County Sheriff’s Dept., Rt. 119 Drug Task Force and the West Virginia State Police.
