PECKS MILL, W.Va. — Mrs. Arbutus Belle “Beauty” Killen, 74, of Pecks Mill, was born January 13, 1939, at Henlawson, a daughter of the late Alderson D. and Zella Barker Hale. She departed this life Saturday June 8, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington.
Mrs. Killen was the retired president of Hague Water Conditioning and was a member of the First Church of Christ of Chapmanville.
Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Paul Hale, Bill Hale, A.D. Hale Jr., Tommy Joe Hale and Ralph Thompson, and sisters, Thelma Nelson, Rebecca Martin, Betty Dingess and Linda Frye.
Survivors include her husband of almost 58 years, Ray; son, Douglas (Marie) Killen of North Mitchell Heights; daughter, Tammy (Raymond) Booth of Chapmanville; sisters, Jean Carper and Naomi (Harold) Ward, both of Henlawson; four grandchildren, Doug (Tammy) Killen of Chapmanville, Lori (Jimmy) Browning of North Mitchell Heights, Billy (Kelli) Killen of Philippi, and Deanna Booth, also of Chapmanville; 10 great grandchildren, Tyler, Eric and Taylor Killen of Chapmanville, Sidnie Browning of North Mitchell Heights, Chris (Megan) Browning of Chapmanville, Haelli and Hannah Killen of Philippi and Colson and Ayla Vance, both of Chapmanville, and a host of other family and friends.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Chad Neil officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Her grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
