Marshall University volleyball to hold local camp
by DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT
RED JACKET – The Marshall University women’s volleyball program will be conducting a satellite volleyball camp at Mingo Central High School Thursday and Friday, June 13-14.
There will be one camp session each day for grades 5-12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The primary focus for this camp is to teach and improve fundamental volleyball skills while working toward advanced skill development. Each camper will receive individual attention and instruction from camp staff. Players of all skills levels are encouraged to attend regardless of experience.
Staff for this camp includes Marshall women’s volleyball coach Mitch Jacobs, along with current Marshall volleyball players.
“Camps provide some of the most fun I have in doing my job,” says Jacobs. “We as coaches and players get to meet and interact with unique kids from all over the state and beyond, and it is exciting to watch them progress over the years into successful athletes for their school programs.”
Registration is open and pre-registration is not required. Cost for the camp is $60 per camper. Campers may sign up prior to the first session of camp and pay cash.
