Willie Woodrow Dotson, 74, of Williamson, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 17, 2013, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.


He was born October 15, 1938, at Woodman, Ky., to the late Clarence and Eacley Prater Dotson. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Dotson and two sisters, Irene Goodman and Ethel C. Lowe.


He was retired from the US Army and a deacon at the Little Hope Primitive Church.


He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lalor Ann Dotson, sons, Michael (Cindy) Dotson of Williamson, John (Maggie) Dotson of Williamson, and Willie (Laura) Dotson Jr. of Martin County, Ky., step daughters, Darlene Daniels of Ohio, and Deborah Bailey of Louisa, Ky., brothers, Brady (Joyce) Dotson of Panesville, Ohio, Alfred (Peggy) Dotson of Panesville, Ohio, sister-in-law, Laura Dotson of Panesville, Ohio, nine grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday June 21, 2013 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Primitive Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Maher, with John Dotson, Willie Dotson Jr., Michael Dotson, Mike May, Brian Hockenberry and Gary Childers serving as pallbearers.


Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday night with special services at 7 p.m. with Primitive Baptist Ministers officating and Thursday night with special services at 7 p.m. with Freewill Baptist Ministers and Victory in Jesus Church officiating.
