Anna Hurt, 93, died Wednesday, June 26 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
She was a member of the First Creek Baptist Church and daughter of the late Sid Knox and the late Essie Mae Hendrix Knox. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hurt, son Reedes Hurt, and a host of siblings.
She is survived by daughters Sandra Dials of Hazard and Wavelene McIntosh of Ohio; son Ray Hurt of Florida; Gladys Tipton of Stanton; along with seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a host nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 28. Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 with Rev. A.D. Pete McGee officiating. Interment will be at Gayheart Cemetery on Lotts Creek.
