The Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, will be appearing at the Coalfield Jamboree on Saturday, August 3, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Vincent, who grew up in Northern Missouri in the tiny town of Greentop as the 5th generation of the musical Vincent Family, began her broadcasting experience at age three, performing on her family’s local TV and Radio Shows as The Sally Mountain Show. Her album, Sunday Mornin’ Singin’, transcended her musical way of life into a successful career, and the coronation as the new Queen of Bluegrass, as proclaimed by the Wall Street Journal.
Vincent has had multiple Grammy nominations, five consecutive Entertainer of the Year Awards from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, and an unprecedented seven consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year Awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association. Adding up the lifetime of accolades bestowed upon Vincent and her band The Rage; they emerge as the most awarded band in Bluegrass music with over 80 awards.
Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at the Coalfield Jamboree from noon-6 p.m. Tickets at the door will be $22.50.
