There are two ways of exerting one’s strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up. That is exactly what the Studios Unlimited Tumbling and Trampoline Team did when they traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Fl., in June to compete in the U.S.T.A. National Championship.

The Intermediate Trampoline team was crowned national chamions with 126 teams attending this year’s Nationals. Also, the team won national runners-up in Intermediate Double-Mini Trampoline and third place in Novice Trampoline.

This year the team is state champions in four divisions and state runners-up in five divisions at the AAU State Meet, and won 23 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 10 bronze individual medals. At the USTA State Meet the team won 25 state titles, 11 state runners-up, and seven third places.

“Amazing, that is about the only word that I can think of to describe this group of athletes and parents,” said coach Vernetta Duncan-Cole. “It takes a lot of dedication, practice, and discipline for the athlete and the parent. Getting them to and from practices throughout the week is difficult with so many other activities going on, but this group of athletes and parents seems to do it all! We are so blessed to have been part of this amazing season.”

With this year’s USTA Nationals being one of the largest, most groups had 55-70 competitors in each age group. USTA Nationals Individual Results are listed below as well as some state results:
