PIKEVILLE, Ky. - A total of five local residents were part of the last set of indictments that have been returned by the Pike County Grand Jury during their final meeting in August.

Richard Blair, 27, and Kristi Combs, 31, both of Hardy, Ky., were each indicted on a Class B Felony of manufacturing Methamphetamine. The evidence gathered in this case was presented by Pike County Sheriff’s Deputy Billy McCoy, who stated that on or about the 14th day of August, the couple committed the offense of manufacturing Methamphetamine when they unlawfully manufactured, or possessed with intent to manufacture, chemicals or equipment used in the manufacturing of Methamphetamine, or in complicity with each other in so doing.

James Hardesty, 23, of Peter Fork Road in McCarr, Ky., was indicted on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants (misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), 1st degree, (Class D Felony); possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone), 2nd degree (Class A misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), 3rd degree (Class A misdemeanor); and possession of marijuana (Class A Misdemeanor). KSP Trooper S. Mounts was the investigating officer.

Michael D. Pollis, 37, of Mullen Fork in Stone, Ky., was indicted on a single charge of wanton endangerment (Class D Felony).

The indictment states that Pollis committed the offense of wanton endangerment when he engaged in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious injury to victim, April Young. Trooper J. Giles testified on behalf of the state.

Michael D. Smith, 39, of Pinson Fork Rd. in McAndrews, Ky., was indicted on charges of manufacturing Methamphetamine (Class B. Felony) after KSP Trooper C. Hulsey testified before the grand jury that on or about the 14th day of July, 2013, the defendant manufactured or possessed ingredients and chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
