Woman hit by train at Chapmanville

CHAPMANVILLE — According to information available, a pedestrian was hit by a CSX train. The incident happened around 4 p.m. at a crossing near Rite Aid in the Commerce Park area of Chapmanville.

Reportedly, the woman, said to be in her mid-twenties, was attempting to cross the tracks at the time of the incident. She was flown to Logan Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.

Tracks were shut down to allow crews to investigate.

The woman’s identity or condition has not been released.
