WHITES ADDITION, W.Va. — Mrs. Elizabeth Samson, 78, of Whites Addition, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 16, 1934, at Holden, she was a daughter of the late Walker and Essie Tabor. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Luther Samson, and brother, Bob Tabor.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Stennett, and son, Jerry Samson, both of Whites Addition; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Ferrell of Justice Addition; grandchildren, Autumn Stennett, Kristin (George) Herriott, Keely (Larry) Ramey, Jenna Ferrell, Joey Riffe, Lauren Ramey and Jake Ramey; three sisters, Betty (Fred) Clark, Lucille Adkins and Judy Hicks, and a host of special nieces, nephews, loving friends and church family.
Elizabeth retired from Logan Bank and Trust after many years of faithful service. She was a faithful member of the Central United Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, at Central United Baptist Church at Logan with Rev. Randy Skeens and Rev. Lonnie Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is serving the Samson family.
